Kanye West is Still an Asshole, Taylor Swift is Still Really Cool

The MTV Video Music Awards aired Sunday night.
I don’t think I’ve watched these awards since I was in middle school, but I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and I knew she was up for Best Female Video. It was the first award given out and Taylor won!
Not even three sentences into her acceptance speech our always sweet Taylor was rudely interrupted by none other than Kanye West.
He pulled the microphone out of her hand after storming onto the stage and said, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, and I’m going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” he shouted. “One of the best videos of all time!”
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
He handed the microphone back to her and walked off, leaving Taylor speechless. MTV then cut to some random clip because the scene was so uncomfortable. The crowd was booing, and Taylor tried to finish her speech but her mic got cut.
Later on in the show, Beyonce won Best Video of the Year and invited Taylor onto the stage with her. I always thought Beyonce was a huge beotch, but I have a lot of respect for her now. When she got on stage she said, “I remember being 17-years old, up for my first MTV award for Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life,” she began. “So I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment.”
Taylor came on the stage and got to finish her speech.
Bottom line: I hate you Kanye. Watch a clip below :

he really i s an asshole, but he makes for some funny moments. he is also a gay fish.
Perhaps, he is such a jerk because he is so stifled. He clearly is unable to reveal what we ALL know. He is gay and also homophobic. Not a good combination. Kanye… guess what… no one cares. See a shrink.
all this fuss about him dissing tayla but no one even said anything about his hair!
Im sick of this guy, excuse the rant:
A letter to Kanye
You’re a bum. Apparently being a college dropout but somehow getting rich makes your opinion matter way more than everyone else’s. Don’t get me wrong, I think taylor swift is a joke myself, but i dont understand why you think anyone should give a shit about what you think. Does it ever occurs to you that sometimes things happen that are beyond our control no matter how much money we have? thats not racism, thats fucking life, deal with it. if you’re gonna record steven hawking’s singing voice, and sell it as rap music to white teeny-boppers everywhere you should at least realize that the same people who voted taylor swift the winner, also made you rich as fuck. maybe I’m being unfair, afterall as a rural caucasian I am inherently racist somehow. I should give you SOME credit. It must be hard to invoke the sit-ins of the civil rights movement in your rap music like you were ACTUALLY THERE. I admit it, I gave the college dropout a spin or two when it came out. Then i thought to myself; “Didn’t the civil rights movement happen mostly in the south during the 60’s? That makes Kanye, who was born in 1977 in atlanta shortly before moving to chicago out of place and out of time.” Sure, racism is still alive in society. Hit the nail on the head there, that part is a cold hard fact. But don’t worry you’re totally right! the best way to combat racism is always to perpetuate the very stereotypes that fuel it. Highlighting the differences among racial cultures in the US has always been the most effective strategy for breeding a communal sense of nationalism and equality. Afterall thats why we still celebrate the ruling of Plessy v. Ferguson; oh wait, my bad; that was the most racist supreme court decision since North Carlonina v. Mann and was replaced by Brown v. Board of Education. I don’t mean to digress, I mean I’m sure if you could read and cared about civil rights you’d know all this already. Don’t worry! I don’t expect you to change anytime soon since truly advocating equal rights is not profitable nor overly popular. And please; don’t feel guilty in the least that the profit from one of your hit singles about racial inequality could have gone a long way in fixing most of the social issues you complain about. afterall, lest we forget, net-worth is directly proportional to the importance of your opinion….Jackass.
Your friend,
Eric
PS: What do I know? I only read books, and go to school, and I don’t have enough money to make my opinions appear informed. If only I had the self-confidence to make ignorance fashionable and trendy….
