Escape(d) from D.C.

We’re back. By God, people, we made it.

It was very, very cold, and we wandered the streets of Washington for more than six hours. Did we meet Obama? Not quite. As a matter of fact, we fared worse than the people at home – Buntology didn’t even hear his inauguration speech. We were sharing a bathroom with four other women as angry Starbucks employees banged on the door, screaming at us to get out. Now that’s what I call “Obama bringing people together.”

But at least we’ll be able to say we were there. We DID get a lot of cool interviews and stumble to some interesting places. Who knew the U.S. Postal Museum could be so cool?

Headin’ home – hopefully

so, after waiting in the cold for, legitimately, several hours, we’ve finally boarded bus 3 back to westfield. Although we didn’t meet PRESIDENT OBAMA, we did get some great “man on the street” comments and vids. We got some verrrry intense frostbite, too – the EMT said we might have to amputate Jackie’s big toe! Just making memories. So many memories. We’ll post more extensive info after this hellish 8-hour bus ride ends. if It ends.

buntology is g’d up.

Hey everybody! As you can see we have recently changed our logo to something a little more professional and fresh. We’ve been getting lots of compliments and we have to give props to our buddy Travis Pinsonnault. Travis is a graphic designer and works here. You can also email Travis for any of your graphic design needs.

Bloopers and outtakes

And now, for your viewing enjoyment … the Rock the House 10 blooper reel! We cobbled together a few of the funnier outtakes from our recent holiday sketch show and came up with a little video that includes:

Jackie tripping out in the living room

Angela singin’ the blues in the Buntology office

Rochelle and Jackie doing the mambo – or possibly the cha-cha.

Interestingly, Jackie is the star of almost every blooper. What does this say? Probably that she acts like an ass more than the rest of us.

you know what this is? it’s a celebration, bitches.

Happy 24th 23rd birthday to Bunt sister Alicia! She’ll be celebrating this special day by going to the movies with her sisters and later rolling around on the rec room floor whilst eating homemade pudding pie! Her favorite!

Also, Buntology wants to wish staffer Ivan a very happy Three Kings Day! Everybody flood Ivan Cordero’s Facebook with Three Kings Day wall posts, because he would do the same for you.

ROCK THE HOUSE Christmas Countdown 10: The Digital Edition

Here it is, readers. What you – and we! – have been waiting for.

Rock the House Christmas Countdown 10 is ready for viewing.

The sketch documentary drama comedy fashion dance holiday party chronicle is finished. From shopping in Holyoke to drinking in the rec room, from Westfield Christmas wishes to lighting the menorah, we’ve filmed everything about the ’08 holiday season.

For those of you who don’t know, we’ve been making holiday documentaries for at least 10 years. The twins started it in 97? 98? and it’s been going strong ever since. Up until this year, we’ve been recording our exploits on old-school VHS. This year, spurred by our enthusiasm and creativity, our parents bought us a hot new digital camera. And we’re passing that hottness on to you, readers. So check it out, let us know what you think, and remember – next year, it could be YOU on RTH!!!

loose ends

1. Just put a buttload of New Years Eve pictures onto Flickr. They say how you spend your New Years is how you spend the rest of your year soo… lots of vomiting with friends, I guess.

2. We are taking questions for a new column called “Ask Mom.” Pretty self-explanatory, so what are you waiting for? Leave your questions in the comment section. Thanks!

3. Check out the website of our dashingly handsome friend Kevin. He’s a Westfield State alum with a degree in graphic design and he knows his stuff. We asked him if he had anything he wanted to say to the Buntology readers about his page and he responded, “I guess just mention that I’m dope as fuck and will do design stuff if you pay me.” Find out for yourself here.

Happy New Year!

Buntology is taking a much-needed couple days off.
But this New Year’s gift should tide you over: A preview of “Rock the House 10: The Digital Edition.”
Rock the House is the annual Bunt holiday countdown sketch comedy documentary show.

Here’s an excerpt from Angela’s Anything Show, which has been “on-air” for more than 10 years (seriously), and according to Angela, “transcends all media.” This episode, Angela and Jackie share their favorite techniques and tricks for the perfect holiday Chex Mix.

Try not to be too repulsed by Ange’s coughing; she was pretty sick.

Also, click over to True Story. We met them at “The Nutcracker” ballet in New York City, then went for champagne and caviar. No, just kidding, we met them at a dive bar in Pittsfield. Maybe we can link to their sports commentary, because we so desperately need it … Anyway, check ’em out, they’re down-ass dudes.

One last thing: We are soliciting questions and suggestions for a new advice segment. If you need guidance on love, work, etiquette, food, phobias, fetishes, send ’em our way.

See you in ’09, and stay unstifled!
