My New Favorite Shows

Over the last couple of months, my life has revolved around a DVR and Netflix. That makes me sound like a huge loser who just watches TV and movies all day, but once you get into a good show you just don’t want to leave your house. The characters become your new friends. That is healthy right?
Anyway, there are two main shows that I have been continuously watching and I am going to tell you a little about them. The first show is “Merlin”. The first season just ended and was played on NBC. Now normally I can’t stay with a show because I either forget to watch it, or I am not around when it’s on. It turns out this amazing DVR device actually records it for you, to watch whenever!(maybe I am a little behind on the technology world.)
Merlin is about…Merlin, as in Sword in the Stone wizard/the magical Warlock. The show begins with Merlin coming to Camelot as a young man.

He is super magical, but nobody can know about it because it is forbidden by the King. The King is the father of Arthur, who will later become King Arthur. Basically, Merlin becomes Arthur’s servant and close friend and each episode has Merlin using his magic in secret to save the lives in Camelot. I really like this show because it is fast paced, exciting…and Merlin is hot in a ugly britishy James and the Giant Peach kinda way. Arthur is really hot too.
Now normally I would not watch this show. I probably wouldn’t have known it even existed, but because of my boyfriend’s nerdy fascination with knights, kings and medieval fighting stories we ended up recording it, now I can’t get enough!
The other show I have become obsessed with is the well known, “How I Met your Mother”. I had always heard about how good the show was so I started watching some episodes online. Now, I don’t know why Hulu acts like they have all these free episodes because they don’t EVER have any of the shows that I want.

After a few tries of illegally downloading episodes I decided it was better to just rent them. Three Netflix discs later, I am done with Season 1, and waiting for Season 2. The show is narrated by Bob Saget, who is telling the story of how he met his wife to his two children. I am not going to go into all the details of the characters with you, but just trust me, this show is really great. The new season premieres September 21 on CBS.
You can watch some episodes of “How I met Your Mother” on Mylifetime.com and Merlin episodes are on NBC.com.

2 words… In Treatment and it isn’t because I can relate to one of the characters in the first season …Gabriel Byrne has replaced George Clooney in my heart and hey what’s wrong with a little Transference? A man who gives you his undivided attention, never talks about himself, and is bound by law to keep your secrets… what’s not to love?

TRUE BLOOD all day every fucking day. well not really its only on sundays but you know.
Hey… just an FYI for all you vampire, ghost, werewolf kind of people… On the BBC America.. (On Demand) there is this really good show called, Being Human. Werewolf, Vampire, ghost (the female of the group) all trying to live in harmony as humans and not give into their “needs”. Funny, sexy, violent… getting addicted to it now that the vampire guy has pretty much given up trying to not drink the blood of humans. Check it out.
Interesting thoughts here. I appreciate you taking the time to share them with us all. It’s people like you that make my day 🙂
I have received a snegid for’ letter today from a company called Avon Client Services Limited run by from Trinity Place, Midland Drive, Sutton Coldfield B72 1TX. Tel: 07512048859, offering a320,195 for my RCI Points. Well over the top!! The letter came from the Administration Manager, James Ashworth. Anybody else heard from them? Have Googled them, no joy as a completions company. Have been scammed once and managed to get all my money back from the bank. Not likely to do this again without a thorough check on the company and never going to give out a fee first!
